Dr Peter Cole
Peter was born in the UK (Birmigham) and completed his undergraduate medical training in Nottingham in 1999. He met his wife Katie, a Canberra girl, before moving to Canberra in 2011. He has 2 children Alex and Josie.
Peter completed his GP training in 2006 having worked in the UK and also Sydney and Perth. Whilst working as a GP he developed an interest in musculoskeletal medicine combining work with his passion for sport.
Peter has retired from playing Rugby Union and keeps fit by running and cycling. He can be found pitch-side at most sporting codes and is learning the finer points of AFL as the club Doctor for the Queanbeyan Tigers.
Peter currently works 2 sessions a week at SportsMed ACT, in theatre as a orthopaedic surgical assistant and also as a GP at The Surgery at Jerrabomberra
Dr Steve Whiting
Dr Steve Whiting graduated from the University of Queensland in 1997. Since that time he has worked throughout Australia, from Darwin and Cairns in the north, to southern Tasmania. He has experience in a variety of medical fields, including Emergency medicine and General Practice. During his work in General Practice he developed an interest in Sports Medicine and commenced post graduate studies in that area. Since choosing to focus solely on Sports Medicine, he has taken the role of Chief Medical Officer for the Canberra Raiders, and also consults at SportsMedACT. He enjoys all aspects of Sports medicine, with particular interests in rugby league and swimming.
